Connect Bing from your account
Bing Webmaster Tools is an optional, experimental source in mowteng. First add the remote MCP URL, https://mowteng.app/mcp, to your assistant and sign in with Google. Then open your account page and connect Bing. The account page shows a separate Connect or Disconnect control for each source.
If you have no sites in Bing, add them there or import them from Google Search Console first. bing_list_sites shows the sites in your Bing account and whether each is verified. A Google property does not by itself mean that Bing is ready to return data for the site.
Read queries and find crawl problems
bing_search_stats returns Bing search queries, clicks, impressions and positions. Ask about a particular site and period, then inspect the queries that explain its biggest changes. Keep the search engine named in the request so a Google report is not mistaken for Bing performance.
bing_crawl_issues lists URLs Bingbot had trouble crawling, with HTTP codes and issue types. Use those details to choose a URL to investigate. A crawl issue and a low-ranking page are different problems: first confirm whether the crawler can retrieve the intended content.
List my Bing sites and their verification state. For my main site, show Bing search performance and crawl issues, keeping the two reports separate.
Compare Google and Bing carefully
With Bing connected, insights_google_vs_bing compares the same site’s queries across both engines. It finds the biggest position gaps and queries appearing in only one engine. Bing data is weekly, so the comparison period is approximate.
Use the Google versus Bing analysis as a way to find questions worth checking. A query missing from one report does not by itself prove that its page is absent from that engine’s index. Review the reporting period and available evidence before changing the page.
Submit sitemaps and URLs deliberately
Use bing_list_sitemaps to review sitemaps and bing_submit_sitemap to submit one. bing_submit_urls asks Bing to crawl up to 500 URLs now and uses the site’s daily URL submission quota, which depends on its age and traffic. Submission is a request, not a guarantee of indexing or rankings.
These submissions are write actions, marked so assistants ask before running them. For changed URLs across participating engines, consider IndexNow submission. If Bing returns no sites, follow Bing no-sites troubleshooting before retrying a performance request.
