Bulk URL inspection for Google Search Console

Review many URLs without pasting each one into Search Console. Plan batches around the inspection quota and turn the results into specific checks.

Inspect a defined set of URLs

Bulk URL inspection helps when a release, migration or indexing review involves a group of pages. Choose URLs that answer a concrete question: newly published articles, changed product pages or a sitemap section. Keep the original input list so you can tell which pages were inspected and which remain.

Inspection reports Google's recorded view of a URL. It is not a full site crawl, a live rendering test or a guarantee that a page will appear for a query. Read the URL Inspection definition before treating the result as a complete technical diagnosis.

Tools, paging and daily quota

mowteng's insights_index_audit accepts a URL list, sitemap or sitemap index and inspects many URLs to report which Google has not indexed. It uses the property's URL Inspection quota: 2,000 inspections per day. Longer audits page through results with an offset.

For one URL, gsc_inspect_url returns index status, last crawl, canonical and rich results. Ask the assistant to distinguish completed inspections from queued or unprocessed inputs. If the allowance is exhausted, follow quota troubleshooting and resume the remaining batch after quota becomes available instead of restarting the whole list.

Questions for a controlled batch

Ask your assistant

Inspect this URL list for Google index status. Tell me how many URLs were checked, which remain and the offset needed to continue the audit.

Ask your assistant

For unindexed URLs in the completed batch, show last crawl and canonical details. Separate missing evidence from confirmed inspection results.

Read the results before taking action

Group pages by the issue you need to investigate. A canonical pointing elsewhere may be correct for duplicate content. An intentional exclusion may need no change. A missing page you want indexed needs checks for accessibility, directives, internal links and distinct content.

Use an index coverage audit to frame those decisions. Save your own findings if you need a record: mowteng fetches search data live for each request and does not store reports or URL lists. Inspection itself does not request indexing or change your website.

Inspect URLs manually in Search Console

Select the matching property, paste a URL into URL Inspection and record its index status, crawl details and canonical information. Repeat for the rest of your list and track progress in a document or spreadsheet. For broad patterns, consult the page indexing report first, then inspect representative URLs. This avoids spending time on individual URLs when the same issue affects a whole section.
