Two ways to read the same data
With mowteng connected, your assistant reads the same Search Console data that the web interface shows, fetched live from Google. So this is not about better data. It is about the way you work with it: clicking through reports, or asking in plain language and getting an answer that has already been filtered, sorted and compared.
Where the web interface is the better fit
- Reports mowteng does not cover. The web interface has parts that mowteng's tools do not expose, such as the Core Web Vitals report, the links report and messages from Google. For those, open Search Console.
- Actions mowteng does not take. Requesting indexing for a URL, verifying ownership, changing settings and removing URLs from search happen in the web interface. mowteng can add a property, but you verify it there.
- Charts. Looking at a trend line, hovering a date and toggling metrics is quicker in a chart than in prose.
- Seeing it yourself. A report on screen needs no interpretation. An assistant's summary can be wrong, so for decisions that matter, check the figure in the interface.
Where an assistant is the better fit
| Job | In the web interface | With an assistant |
|---|---|---|
| Queries at positions 11-20 | Filter, sort and compare by hand | One tool: insights_striking_distance |
| Pages competing for a query | Check each query page by page | insights_cannibalization |
| Pages that lost clicks | Compare two date ranges and sort | insights_content_decay |
| More than one search engine | Switch between three separate tools | Google, Bing and Yandex in one conversation |
| Long tables | The performance report caps tables at 1,000 rows | Up to 1,000 rows per call, with paging |
| Follow-up questions | Rebuild the filters each time | Ask the next question in the same chat |
Which pages on example.com lost the most clicks in the last 28 days, and which of them also rank on page two for any query?
A question like that spans two reports in the interface. The assistant can combine pages losing clicks with striking distance keywords in one go.
Combine them
- Ask the assistant to find what changed and what is worth working on.
- Check the figures that drive a decision in the web interface.
- Do the actions that need the interface there: request indexing, verify, remove.
